antique doorSome more of Henryetta history is being repurposed.
Four doors originally at upstairs offices in the building that once housed the Joseph Hardin studio are going to be hung at the First Family Federal Credit Union office on Main Street.
FFFCU president David Dykes said the doors were purchased from Katie Thompson who owns the building now housing McIntosh Tumbling.
"These doors are perfect for our building," Dykes said. "We want to restore as much of the old look as possible."
The credit union is in the process of remodling the two buildings that once housed a drug store, J.C. Pennys and Kilgore Furniture. When finished, the former J.C. Penny and Kilgore buildings will be used by First Family for offices and meeting rooms. That work is projected to be completed by December 1.
McIntosh Tumbling moved into its home at Fifth and Main two years ago. The bottom of the building has been converted into a gym and plans call for remodling the upper stories later.
