| Henryetta police say a semi driver was the culprit behind the destruction of a flagpole and lights at the Henryetta hospital earlier this week. Officers say the semi was involved in an accident on Interstate 40 around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning. The driver, who has not been identified, first ran his vehicle through the ditch leading into the hosital running over a light by the hospital sign. He then missed the turn to the emergency room, winding up on the circle driveway. When the driver, said to be from New York, tried to make the turn, he struck the flag pole knocking it over. He then is accused to leaving the scene and getitng back on I-40. Police have forwarded the report to the district attorney's office where an arrest warrant could be issued. |
