The Christmas season was ushered in at Henryetta high school Tuesday when 36 candles and wreaths were placed on the auditorium stage.
greenThe annual Hanging of the Green ceremony saw representatives from the high school classes and organizations participate in the special assembly.
It opened with Dalton Key and Emma Sontag presenting the welcome and history of the event as well as the tradition of evergreens mingling with Christmas.
Members of the high school choir performed several holiday selections with the Knight brigade band adding their music to the festivities.
Meg Vance recited the poem written by former HHS grad Matthew Vail.
