Jameia Sue Davis, a longtime Weed, Calif., resident died Jan. 6, 2019 at Grenada Gardens in Grenada, Calif. She was 65 years old.
Jameia was born on April 8, 1953 in Henryetta to James Robert Quinton and Peggy Lou Eisenhower Quinton.
She grew up in the Henryetta area, living first in Hoffman where she attended elementary school. She attended Dewar High School for three years before finishing her last year of high school in Morris where she graduated. Jameia worked in Beggs at a restaurant and service station for several years. Jamie was preceded in death by a son, Jim Gaither, in 2010, and two brothers, Terry and Jimmy Quinton.
Jamie is survived by two children: Thomas Gaither Jr. and his wife, Amy, and Joseph Gaither, of Weed; a sister, Teena Chapman and her husband, Murry of North Carolina; nine grandchildren: Kaitlin Van Hooser, Trey, Bryndan, Gabriel, Jarrett, Erin, Jayde, Jack and Gemma Gaither: sister, Lucille Chapman and husband Murray of Hope Mill, North Carolina; and by other extended and family and many good friends.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Hoffman Cemetery, with Rev. Tom Fowler officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service. At the request of the family, the casket will remain closed.
