A three-minute special school board session was held Wednesday morning allowing teacher representatives to go to Oklahoma City when the legislature is in session.
The meeting was called after board members tabled the agenda item at the Jan. 14 meeting. Under the new agreement with the Henryetta Education Association, only two teachers would be allowed to leave their classrooms to lobby for or against education related bills.
The HEA negotiating agreement was passed Wednesday with a 3-0 vote. Board members Jeanie Duncan, Brandi Brown and David Bullard were present. Not present were James Williams and Casey Jones.
