wonkaThe world of Willy Wonka will be brought to Henryetta March 1 when the fourth and fifth grade students present a musical, “Willy Wonka, jr.”
Parents, friends and family members will be able to see the musical at 6 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
“These kids have worked very hard this year learning lines, building sets, learning choreography, and getting acquainted with all of the aspects of a theater production,” said Rachael Bourn, Elementary Music Teacher at HES. “I am so proud of all of their hard work and can’t wait for everyone to see how talented our students are.”
The musical centers around the reclusive candy man named Willy Wonka who offers a tour through his secret chocolate factory to five children who find a golden ticket in one of his world-famous candy bars.
Henryetta will have its own tour of Willy Wonka’s secret factory for only $5 admission for adults and $3 for students. Kids under 5 will get in for free. There will be a performance for elementary and kindergarten students at 9:30 that morning. Admission is $1.
