William Roscoe “Rock” Enis died Feb. 16, 2019 in Muskogee at the age of 93. Rock was born March 11, 1925 in Gravelly, Ark. He was the son of James Clayton and Eula Mae Ammons Enis. His family moved to Wilburton when he was a young man. They were farmers and ranchers. Rock entered the Army in early 1944. After basic training he was shipped to the South Pacific. His stops in the South Pacific included, Siapan and Okinawa. At the end of WWII he was shipped to Korea in the Army of Occupations. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1946. After the war he returned home to meet his wife of “70” years, Patsy Ziverk. Rock and Pat owned and operated the “OTASCO” store in Wilburton for 30 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife Pat; son Rick and daughter-in-law Lori Enis and daughter Betsy Enis; grandchildren: Josh and Brooke Kilhoffer and Lindsay and Diann Goodman; great grandchildren: Shelby, Payton and Jaxson Kilhoffer and Graham and Knox Goodman; special friends Nick and Jennie Baker and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 10:30 a.m.
Family will be receiving friends at the Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m.
