The Knights threatened twice Tuesday night but could not get the runs across home as they lost a 3-2 game to Dewar.
The Dragons scored two runs in the opening inning with a sacrifice hit and a passed ball sending Fowler and Hays home. Fowler had singled then Hays followed that up with a walk. When Selby was hit by a pitch, the bases were loaded up. Tablers had a sacrifice at first and a passed ball let Hays come home.
In the second inning, Brownfield scored the third and final run for the Dragons.
It appeared as though the Knights would come back in the third inning when Drew Brown got on with a single and Brodie Graffman and Jared Montgomery both walking to fill up the bases. Ethan Wincle walked bringing in Brown and keeping the bases loaded. A hit to third by Jared Fife scored Graffman but pinch runner Conner Bullard was thrown out as he tried to get to third.
With two outs, Andrew Morris was facing a 3-2 count when Wincle was thrown out at second to close out the inning.
In the fifth, Montgomery and Wincle Walked then Fife got a single with two outs loading the bases once again. The Dragons ended that threat when Morris was struck out.
Graffman, Montgomery and Morris were stranded on base in the seventh when Tate Wisdom struck out giving the win to the Dragons.
