Bullard was on his third deployment from 2017 to 2018 when he earned the award for, “exceptionally meritorious service as a squad leader assigned to the 2120th Engineer Company in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield. SSG Bullard’s leadership, service, dedication and professional demeanor were vital to the success of the unit’s mission,” according to the citation.
He is a member of the 2120th Engineer Construction Vertical (ECV), 120th Engineer Battalion based in Broken Arrow. The award was presented at special ceremonies at the Broken Arrow Armed Forces Reserve Center earlier this month.
Bullard entered the U.S. Army in 2009 and served four years in the active service. He later enlisted in the reserves and national guard.
He and his wife, Lena, are the parents of six children, Austin Bullard, Jack Wallace, Connor Bullard, Shelby Henderson, Christian Gray and Abigail Bullard.
