Lula Mae Spaniard, a resident of Henryetta, died March 14, 2019 in Henryetta at the age of 62. She was born Dec. 4, 1956 in Tahlequah to Martin Mitchell and Lana (Lewis) Mitchell.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Annie Spaniard, two brothers, Martin Mitchell Jr. and George Deere.
Lula is survived by her son, Benjamin Spaniard of Tulsa,; daughter, Jayme Owens and husband Ben of Henryetta; son, Simon Spaniard of Glenpool; grandchildren: Caitlyn Hancock, Jace Owens, Kindle Owens, Aubrey Owens, Seth Harjo, Makinzy Harjo, Payton Harjo, and Bailey Spaniard; two sisters: Gerilyn McIntosh and husband Cornelius of Eufaula, and Marilyn Proctor of Eufaula; brother, Charles Ray Mitchell and wife Keselar of Glenpool, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A wake service is scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2019 at Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in Hanna at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in Hanna, with Pastor Todd Parker and Rev. Tim Lowe, officiating. Interment will follow at Weogufkee Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
