Edward “ED” Eckfeldt, a former resident of Henryetta, died March 20, 2019 in Owasso at the age of 91. Ed was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Marines and retired from the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a Sanitarian. He married Allene Geasland Oct. 3, 1953 in Okmulgee and made his home west of Henryetta in the country. He attended the Methodist Church, a member of both Lions and Rotary Clubs and the Professional Sanitarians Assoc.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Dayna Dunson.
Survivors include his wife Allene of the home; daughter; Karen Capps of Owasso; grandchildren: Khristi Adjip, James Capps, Kyle Capps, Cory Capps and Allison Bledsloe; great grandchildren: Caleb and Joshua Adjip, Alexander Capps and Kate Capps.
Sisters: Rosaland Taylor of Henryetta and Delores Peeler of Okmulgee.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
