Henryetta voters will be selecting a council member Tuesday.
The election will be between Kyle Clason and Gary Clason with both seeking to fill out a two year unexpired term as council member at large.
Voters will go to the polls from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 2, although ballots may be cast early March 28 and 29 at the county election board office in Okmulgee. That office will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Okmulgee voters will be deciding whether or not they want to allow money from the one percent sales tax be made available for capitol expenditures.
There is a three-person race for the Beggs ward 2 council seat. Voters will see O.G. Corky Thompson, Donna Smith and Regina Y. Thompson on the ballot there.
Residents of the Weleetka school district living in Okmulgee County will be voting for either Howard Goodnight or Bobbie Sue Joslin for the school board post.
The Tulsa Tech Center district 18 residents will have a ballot with Jim Baker and Tom Trimble, sr., available.
Haskell school district voters will be choosing between Lewis Gonzales and Sherry Brashear for that school board post.
County election board secretary Ashley Carnes said anyone who needs to look up their polling place, verify their registration information, or view a sample ballot can do so online.
The Online Voter Tool can be accessed on the Oklahoma State Election Board’s website: www.elections.ok.gov. Those who vote by mail can also check the status of their ballot using the Online Voter Tool. Sample ballots are also available at the County Election Board office.
She reminded voters they will have to show proof of identity before receiving a ballot. That can be a valid photo ID, voter identification card or sign an affidavit and vote a provisional ballot.
