Essie Jean Allbritton was born in Morris Sept. 18, 1929 to Rev. William Curtis and Mattie (Hoobler) Whisman. She died April 27, 2019 in Okmulgee.
She married Rex O’Neal Allbritton in Morris in January 1963 and they were blessed with a son, Rex O’Neal Allbritton Jr. who preceded her in death on February 12, 2019. Jeanne worked for many years as a nurse for local Morris doctor William Burnett. She later owned and operated her own beauty shop in her home in Morris. In addition to her son, she was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Whisman sisters (Bertha Brill, Thelma Burnett, Rita Flanary, Ruby Vaughn, Myrtle Lee Pearson) and her brothers (Hiram, Floyd, John, Jess and Wiley).
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Rex of the home in Morris; her granddaughter Kayleigh Allbritton of Morris; twin sister Dee Foster of Morris and a large host of loving nephews and nieces.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday May 2 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services, under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta will be conducted Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. at the Morris United Pentecostal Church officiated by Rev. Jimmy Shoemake.
Nephews will serve as pall bearers and interment will be in the Morris Cemetery.
