Raymond William Thomasson was born July 31, 1965 and died April 25, 2019 at the age of 53. He was born in Wagoner to James Edward and Dorthy Mae Jean (Baucom) Thomasson. Will went to school in Coweta for most of his young years. As a teenager, he moved to Council Hill and graduated from Midway High School.
He met and later married Jerena Kay Carson in February 1987. Will lost his wife on Feb. 20, 2000.
Will met and married Joanie Lee Degraffenreid in 2000 and they were married Aug. 18, 2000. Will worked for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for over 20 years and retired from that position. He was currently employed at K & S Electric.
Will was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Thomasson; mother, Dorthy Mae Jean Dennis; stepfather, Robert R Dennis, Sr.; brothers, James Arvil Thomasson and Bobby Ray Dennis, Jr.; sister, Carol Jean Dopler; first wife, Jerena Kay Thomasson; nephews, Bobby Jo Thomasson and William Rudolph Dopler, Jr.
Will is survived by his wife Joanie; four daughters: Jenna and her husband Bryan King, their 4 children: Brody, Lily, Korbyn, and Kaisley; Taylor (Niki) and her husband Briton Leist, their two children Braden and Gracey; Rachel and Deborah; siblings, John Thomasson, Sr. and his wife Sandy, Dottie Hewitt and her husband John, Zina Brown and her husband Phil, Tonya Davis and her husband Jeff, Kelly Thomasson, Joseph Thomasson, Donny Dennis and his wife Lori; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 2, Checotah Funeral Service.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 3, at Midway High School, Council Hill with burial to follow at Council Hill Cemetery.
