In between spring rains, a lot of Henryetta residents have been getting their yards ready to display for neighbors.
The monthly Yard of the Month contest is now underway and the prettiest yard in your neighborhood is wanted.
A form to nominate your own yard or that of your neighbor is available for download here {phocadownload view=file|id=44|target=s}. That form may also be picked up at First Family Federal Credit Union or at the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce.
Just fill out the form and return it to: Yard of the Month Award, P.O. Box 170, Henryetta, 74437 or return it to the Chamber or First Family Federal Credit Union.
May 20 is the deadline for entries.
Winners will receive a “Yard of the Month” sign to display in the yard, a gift from First Family Federal Credit Union as well as photo recognition on Thehenryettan.com and in the Free Lance.
Judging will be conducted by members of the Yard of the Month Committee. Only the front yard will be scored for the competition. October through December nominees will be considered for that month’s holiday decorations.
Judges are looking for yards that are well-groomed, attractive and have enriched the quality of life in their neighborhoods.
