Henryetta’s 2019 seniors were urged to “bloom where you are planted.”
Rev. Kyle Kiner delivered the keynote address at the baccalaureate service Wednesday night telling the seniors to “make the most of your situation. That is how you will find your joy.”
He urged seniors to remove the anxiety from their lives by staying calm and broke down that word into the individual letters: C – celebrate the good things in life; A – ask for God’s help; L – leave it with God; and M – meditate on the good things in life.
The annual service started with Rev. Tim Cole from the First Church of the Nazarene delivering the welcome then Jordan Knox gave the invocation.
Drew Brown led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the high school choir singing, “He Never Failed Me yet.” Class president Leah Vance gave the scripture reading leading into Rev. Kiner’s address.
Kenna Najera provided the benediction and Baptist church pastor Rev. Dale Huckabay closed out the service.
