Henryetta police say they have a person of interest in a shooting late Monday night.
According to police chief Steve Norman, about 11:30, officers were called to Hillcrest Henryetta hospital after a woman came in with a single gunshot wound to her chest.
“She was awake and alert and initially told officers she was shot by a person wearing a mask,” Norman said. “Later, she told officers the shooting was an accident.”
Saying the investigation is still underway, the chief said they have a person they want to talk with about the shooting.
No charges have been filed yet.
