Financial Counselor/Member Development Representative Ashley Morris is excited to work with the students this summer.
“Budget or Bust is a fun way that we teach financial literacy to our youth and try to make learning an enjoyable experience,” Morris said.
Budget or Bust was first established last year using First Family employee’s children in a trial run. Additional dates have been added for local children to attend. The program has been adjusted to include financial education of older children. High school students will also receive an overview on the car buying experience along with learning the difference between debit and credit cards.
“It’s a big eye opener for the students,” Financial Counselor/Member Service Representative Amber Pippin said. “We want the kids to be confident that they can manage their own money”
The Budget or Bust program is open to the public at no cost. For pre-registration, visit either Henryetta location or online at firstfamilyfcu.com.
