vaughnClayton Vaughn has a new award to hang up this summer.
He was named as 2019 Oklahoma Tennis Coaches Association Junior High Tennis Coach of The Year and received his plaque from HHS coach Dustin Mosco this week.
Vaughn has been the junior high coach in Henryetta and assistant high school coach for the past four years. He will be taking over the tennis coaching duties at Okmulgee when school reesumes next month.
In presenting the award, Mosco cited Vaughn's skills in developing the Henryetta boys and girls tennis teams and said he has been a huge asset to the program.
“I couldn’t have done this without my tennis team,” Vaughn said. He expressed his appreciation to Mosco and Mark Milligan for all of the guidance and support they have given.
