LouCille Marler, a resident of Henryetta, died Aug. 6, 2019 at the age of 98. She was born Oct. 27, 1920 in Caney, Kans., to Clyde and Daphna (Ambrose) Whippo. LouCille married Grover Marler Dec. 11, 1941 in Henryetta. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and over the 70-plus years she taught Sunday school to every age group except the nursery. She also served in many of the committees in the church from bible school, kitchen, bereavement and others.
She is preceded in death by her husband Grover and her parents.
Survivors include two daughters: Susan Marler of the home and Becky Helvey and husband Dawson of Seminole; grandchildren: Kara Petterson and husband Jay, and Krissy Bohannon and husband Kyle; great grandchildren: Jake and Jacy Bohannon
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 9, 2019 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Huckabay and Rev Jim Paslay, officiating. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
