With runs in each of the four innings, the Lady Knights chalked up win 15 Tuesday as they shut out Okmulgee 13-0.
It was another perfect game for HHS pitcher Avery Miller. She struck out ten Okmulgee Bulldogs bringing her strikeout record to 101 so far this year. Miller has a .16 ERA for the season.
Henryetta started out strong with three runs in the first inning. Miller grounded a double to score Jaylynn Joslin followed by Kasedi Gobin getting a single that scored Miller.
With two outs against the Lady Knights,a single by Brooklyn Baughman enabled Gobin to score another run.
Lexi Lollis and Joslin added two runs in the second but a double play by the Okmulgee defense put a halt to any more runs in that frame.
An RBI hit by Haylie Hamric and sacrifice grounder by Katelyn Dwiggins put Baughman and Skylar Morris across home plate in the third.
The game was put away in the fourth when a Baughman double scored Gobin and Autumn Blackbear followed by an RBI single by Lollis scoring Baughman. Hamric would score on a Joslin bunt and Okmulgee error followed by Lollis scoring with a Miller single.
The final scores came when Joslin stole home.
The Lady Knights will be back at their home field Thursday night when they host Kellyville.
