A three-run, walk-off homer to center field dealt the Lady Knights their third loss of the season Thursday at Oktaha.
The game was a scoreless defensive duel until the bottom of the fifth when the Lady Tigers from Oktaha scored on a line drive to left with two outs.
Henryetta tied up the game in the top of the seventh with a Skylar Morris fly that looked like it was going to be out but right field failed to hold on to it. That allowed Emily Smith to score.
That tied up the game forcing extra innings then Henryetta went ahead in the top of the ninth with a sacrifice grounder by Autumn Blackbear that scored Katelyn Dwiggins. Brooklyn Baughman doubled to right sending Kasedi Gobin home putting Henryetta ahead 3-1.
Oktaha’s girls came back int he bottom of the ninth with two on base when the Lady Tiger pitcher, Sloan nailed the homer over the centerfield fence for the win.
Avery Miller pitched seven of the innings giving up three runs on six hits. During the day, she struck out 11 Oktaha batters and walked one.
