i40 crash

A Duluth, Georgia man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 just east of Henryetta early Monday morning.
According to the OHP, Eduardo Aybar, 35, was eastbound on I-40 when his 2013 Accura struck the rear of a 2013 Freightliner that was disabled in the eastbound lane.
Trooper Levi Foreman said the Freightliner driver, John Tongi, 22, Arlington, Texas, had caution triangles set in the highway to warn approaching drivers. Tongi was not injured in the crash.
Aybar was pinned in the Accura until Henryetta fire department members could cut him from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life. He was flown to St. John hospital in Tulsa for treatment of injuries to his head, arm, leg and body. He was listed in stable condition.
Eastbound traffic on had to be held up while the helicopter could pick up Aybar. The accident caused traffic to use only one lane until all vehicles could be moved.
