The just-completed Henryetta football season was celebrated Saturday night by members of the Knight football team, their parents and Quarterback Club.
A dinner honored the entire team and gave special recognition to the seniors and those who demonstrated their abilities on the field.
Receiving certificates for their skills this year were: Jakob White, overall MVP; Tyler Wilson, Defensive Player of the Year; Cameron Slyconish, Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year; Cameron McKinney, Special Team Player of the Year; Phillip Fisher, Offensive Player of the Year; Randall Elzy, Most Improved Player of the Year and Riley Padgett and Logan Whitlock, ARMOR award. Wilson was recognized as the state leader in defensive tackles this year. He finished out the season with 161 and is the keader across the entire state in that category. He also has set a new Henryetta high school record that was previously held by Eric Gray with 152 in 2014.
