Charles Frank Porter, 90, a life long resident of Henryetta, died Jan. 7, 2020 surrounded by his loving family and friends at the Porta Caeli Hospice Home in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Frank was born Aug. 3, 1929 in Elm Grove, Okla., to John Henry and Maude Lee Porter. Frank was one of 15 children.
Frank lived most of his years in Henryetta and graduated from Henryetta High School. He married Rita Faye Brown Jan.y 3, 1948 and lived a beautiful life with her until her passing Jan. 3, 2004, their 56th wedding anniversary.
Frank is survived by his son, Gary Porter, and wife, June, of Mannford; daughter, Robin Watanabe, and husband, Mike, of Littleton, Colo/; grandson Scot Porter and wife, Diane, of Bixby; granddaughter Marcy Cline and husband, Tracy, of Broken Arrow; granddaughter Kristin Willis and husband, Brett of Denver; great grandchildren, Kylie Porter, Peyton Porter, Allison Porter, Collin Cline and Leo Willis; sisters Dorothy Tuley of Sand Springs and Grace Moore of Tulsa; brothers Clifford Porter and wife Ann of Henryetta, John Porter Jr. of Harrison, Ark., and Lindell Porter and wife Linda of Tulsa; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. with family greeting visitors from 5 until 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Mike Watanabe, Tracy Cline, clifford Porter, Leo Lassiter, Roy Bailey and Darrel Moreland.
Funeral services will be held at New Life Assembly of God Church on New Lake Road and C Street, Friday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Allen Lewis officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Chrystal Springs Retirement Village and New Life Church.
