Jeri Dawn Finch was born in Tulsa Aug. 7, 1974 to Jerry and Sharon Colson. She died May 9, 2015 at her home in Henryetta at the age of 40.
Jeri was a teacher in Preston, and had also taught in Henryetta and Morris. She was an active member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church.
Jeri is preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Goldie Flippin and Charles and Nellie Colson,  father-in-law, Robert Finch, and nephew, Brice Edwards.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Mike Finch, and her four beloved children: Rayvin Finch, Ryn Finch, Pheobey Finch, and Pheonix Finch, all of the home; parents, Jerry and Sharon Colson of Terlton; three brothers: Darren Edwards of Terlton, Brian Edwards of Sand Springs, and Kevin Smith of Arizona; two sisters: Vicki Glad of Moore and Leslie Clark of Sallisaw; her mother-in-law, Kay Finch, of Okmulgee and brother-in-law, Phillip Finch of Okmulgee, along with a host of nieces and nephews, and innumerable friends.
Funeral services for Jeri will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Okmulgee, with Pastor Dustin Tidwell officiating.
Serving as casketbearers will be Darren Edwards, Brian Edwards, Quinn Edwards, Jimmy Davis, Heath Davis, and Zack Davis. Honorary casketbearers will be Kevin Smith, Brian Morphis, and Phillip Finch.  Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McClendon-Winters Funeral Home, Okmulgee.
