He refused to pull over and the pursuit started west on Interstate 40. Officers chased in to the Pharoah exit where he turned south of US 75 then went east on US 84 toward Dustin.
He turned off the highway onto a county road then crashed the truck in a grove of trees about six miles northwest of Dustin.
Cooper was said to have fled the vehicle on foot as officers surrounded the truck. He was able to elude them in the thick underbrush and a manhunt began. His female companion, Paz Duran was captured at the truck and is facing charges for harboring a fugitive.
Officers called in a helicopter to help search from the air.
According to Henryetta police chief Steve Norman Cooper is going to be considered armed and dangerous.
Because of the manhunt, both Weleetka and Graham school went into lockdown.
