Roy Lee Contreras, a resident of Henryetta, died March 1, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 90. He was born June 3, 1929 in the Weleetka-Graham area to John Contreras and Grace (Smith) Contreras.
He married Ruby Walters Sept. 5 in the Weleetka-Graham area. They celebrated 50 years together before her death.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Contreras, his wife Ruby, also by two brothers, Evert and Dan Contreras. He retired from Anchor Glass Company in Henryetta and was a member of the Dewar United Pentecostal Church.
Among the survivors are his three children: Roy G. Contreras and wife Ann of Randlett, Okla., Glenda Page and husband Jerry of Henryetta and Sharon Deckard and husband Mike of Dewar; 13 grandchildren: Travis Contreras, Justin Contreras, Kent Contreras, Kyle Contreras, Brandon VanMeter, Amber Woods, Kimberly Reinking, Alicia Dudley, Christopher Deckard, Jerry Page II, Jason Page, James Page and John Page; 37 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two brothers in law, Lewis Walters of Henryetta and Charlie Walters and wife Anita of Henryetta; sister in law, Anita Wilhite of Henryetta; also by a host of friends, church family and other relatives.
Viewing will be Wednesday, March 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Roy's grandsons, Christopher Deckard, Travis Contreras, Brandon VanMeter, Kent Contreras, Kyle Contreras, and Justin Contreras.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Matthew Martin and Rev. Brian Dudley officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
