Denny Lee Kempton, a resident of Henryetta, died June 1, 2020 in Okmulgee at the age of 85. He was born March 18, 1935 in Lander, WY to Mervin Paul Kempton and Rosey (Snavely) Kempton.
He is a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by one grandson, Kolton.
Denny is survived by his wife Louise (Stacy) Kempton of the home; four children: Mark Kempton of colorado Springs, Colo., Jason Mervin Kempton of Spokane, Wash., Justin John Kempton of Corona, Calif., and Melissa Kathleen Kempton-Baughman of Post Falls, Idaho; two stepsons, Carey Ellingsworth of Morris and Kelvin Ellingsworth of Henryetta; 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; seven siblings: Clayton Kempton of Clifton, Kans., Theresa Monte of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Mary Groethe of Rapid City, South Dakota, Barbara Pyeatt of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Larry Kempton of Grand Junction, Colo., Sharon Decker of Campo, Calif., and Thomas Kempton of Eagle, Colorado; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Integrity Chapel (410n E. Trudgeon St.) Henryetta with Rev. Scott Randall, officiating. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
