building wall

Age combined with the gusty winds this past weekend helped bring down the south wall of this building at First and Trudgeon. Henryetta fire chief David Bullard said mortar holding the bricks together in the nearly 110-year-old structure had dried out completely and turned to powder in the alley. No businesses were operating in the building with the last occupant, Jim Powders garage, closing down  in 2017. Ron Casey, Henryetta public works director, said the entire structure is unsafe and will have to be demolished.
