A Henryetta man was fatally injured in a crash late Thursday night on the Indian Nation Turnpike.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 2019 Hyundai Elantra driven by Mason Brillo, Henryetta, was going north on the turnpike about ten miles south of Henryetta when it crashed into the rear of a northbound trailer.
The trailer was being pulled by a northbound 1989 International truck driven by Douglas Scarmozzi, 48 of Nowata. The OHP said the truck was pulling a 1999 Ford pickup that was pulling a 16-foot flatbed trailer carrying a 2000 Ford at the time of the crash.
Brillo was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.
The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation. The crash closed one of the northbound lanes on the turnpike for over five hours.
