Siemona with Mary and April

Siemona Stevens, an RN working at Hillcrest Henryetta Hospital, was honored this past week with an international award.
Stevens received the DAISY award for her efforts treating a patient earlier in the month.
The patient contacted Hillcrest officials saying, “How do you thank someone for saving your life? I really don't know… I just appreciate you being there for me on that Monday morning!! I'm so grateful for you and your faith and prayers! I truly felt them!! Sorry I must have gave you quite a scare! Thank you so very much!"
Dee Renshaw, hospital administrator explained the DAISY Award is an international nurse recognition program that honors the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day.
“I am proud that one of our staff members received this prestigious award,” he said. “We have some great people working at Henryetta and they do their best to take care of our patients.”
Stevens began as a Dietary Aide at the hospital before becoming an RN. She worked as RN on the Hillcrest MedSurg unit before transferring to the Resource Team and then coming back to work as an ER nurse.
She was presented her award by Mary Fisher, ER manager, and April Secor, CNO.
