Two home runs,  one a grand slam and the other a three run homer, propelled the Lady Knights into an 18-2 district win over Eufaula Thursday night.
Henryetta was already up 5-2 in the sixth frame when Avery Miller drilled a line drive to center bringing in Kenleigh Miller and Kaitlyn Dwiggins.
The cheering increased in the top of the seventh when Skylar Morris parked the ball over the left field fence with bases loaded.
"This is a big win for us," said HHS coach Ryan Swallow. That was the second encounter of the night for Henryetta against the Ironheads. In the opening game, the Lady Knights struggled to get a 6-5 win.
Earlier in the week, Henryetta made a trip to Keifer for a district contest and came back with a 4-2 victory. They capped off the week with a 10-0 shutout against Okmulgee.
That leaves only Beggs as the final 3A-6 district opponent left to face. Henryetta will host Beggs Monday then travel to the Demons' home field Tuesday evening.
Going into the Okmulgee game, the Lady Knights were undefeated in district with a 10-0 record. Keifer is in second place tied with Beggs, both at 8-2 for district play. Wins at Beggs would keep Henryetta solidly on top and guarantee them a prominent place in the district tournament Sept 25.
