Larry Lee Stanton, a longtime resident of Schulter, died Sept. 23, 2020 in Schulter at the age of 78. He was born June 22, 1942 in Hitchita to William Charles Stanton and Florence Edna (Kidwell) Stanton.
He enlisted with the Oklahoma Army National Guard and served stateside during the Viet Nam Era. He married the love of his life, Barbara Tarwater, April 30, 1970 in Henryetta. He worked in heating and air for the John Zink Company for many years. He continued working for the company after it was acquired by the Aaon Company.
He was a member of the Schulter Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Florence Stanton, his wife, Barbara Stanton, siblings, Linda Burney, Tom Stanton, Jim Stanton, Pete Stanton, Kenneth Stanton, Norma Hodges, Nadine Parks, Inez Stanton and Joyce Burney. Also by two great granddaughters.
He is survived by three children: Mickey Dean Stanton and wife Elizabeth of Henryetta, William Charles Stanton of Schulter and Sherri Lynn McBain and husband Chris of Spring, Texas; eughtt grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; sister, Rowena Brownfield of Hoffman; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Larry will be from 33 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27 and Monday from 8 a.m. until noon at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 28, 2020 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Phil Barton officiating. Interment will follow in Salt Creek Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
