Two men died when the UTV they were in collided with a pickup in the early morning hours west of Henryetta.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Nicholas King, 33, Henryetta, was the driver of a 2020 Coleman Outfitter UTV that collided with a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jordan Pearson, 21, Henryetta.
King and a passenger on the UTV, Brice McGirt, 25, Schulter, were killed in the accident. Pearson was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries.road closed
Trooper Tim Baker said the cause of the accident about a mile west of the Okmulgee-Okfuskee county line and conditions of the two drivers is still being investigate. Pearson was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extracted by members of the Weleetka fire department.
The accident and investigation closed old State Highway 62 for a great part of the day.
