There has been a change for the annual Chamber of Commerce Parade this year.
Set for Dec. 5, the parade will be held at 11 a.m. instead of the nighttime parade as in years past. MG 0524
“Hometown Christmas” is the theme for the parade and, based on that theme, awards will be given for first through third place.
Chamber of Commerce executive director Roy Madden said Santa will be available for pictures at the Cowboy Park, next to Chamber of Commerce, following the parade from 12:30 until 2 p.m.
To simplify the registration process, the Chamber encourages early parade entries. If advance entry is not possible, entries will be received at the registration area at Eighth and Main on the morning of the parade. Entry forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce office,, the Henryetta Free-Lance newspaper, or by emailing a request to the Chamber at This email address is being protected from spambots. “Please call 918-652-3331 for more information,” he said. “We extend a "thank you" to AEP-PSO and for their sponsorship.

Another change this year is the annual Santa Bucks giveaway.
“Beginning at 2 p.m. following the parade, the Chamber will be conducting 15 drawings at the parade announcer stand for $100 each.” Winners must be present to claim the Santa Bucks and there will be no redraws he added.
“To be eligible for the Santa Bucks drawings you will need to register and pick up your entry cards at the Chamber office located at 415 West Main Street beginning at 8 a.m. on the Saturday prior to the parade and, in turn, visit at least five merchants listed on the card to have the visit verified.
“The cards must be returned to the Chamber by 1 p.m. that afternoon to be placed in the drawing.”
Santa Buck winners will be provided a $100 in Santa Bucks and a list of participating merchants; all purchases will be must rounded to the nearest $20 no cash exchange. All Santa Bucks must be spent with participating merchants by the close of business Thursday, Dece. 24.
