T.J. Mitchell, 90, a lifelong resident of Henryetta, died Oct. 17th, 2020 at his home in Henryetta. T.J. was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Bryant to Russell and Dona (Champion) Mitchell.
T.J. lived in Henryetta all of his life except for two years while he served in the United States Army in the 194th Engineer Battalion in Korea from 1953 to 1954. He worked at the Eagle Pitcher Smelter for 20 years. he also worked for Ray Panchot Construction for four years and Anchor Glass Company for 18 years.
T.J. is preceded in death by his parents, one brother R.A. Mitchell and five sisters: Lorene Withrow, Eldean Cunningham, Helen Tipton, Callie Murphy, Christine Critzer and one step-daughter Va Lynna Willey.
T.J. is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patsy, of the home: two sons Ronnie and fiancé, Jan Smith and Dennis Mitchell and wife Michelle; also one granddaughter Loren Smith and husband Michael, as well as two grandsons: Ryan and Wesley Mitchell.
Viewing and visitation is scheduled for Wednesday Oct. 21, 2020 from 3 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday Oct. 22, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Integrity Funeral Service Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon, Henryetta.
Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Mitchell, Dennis Mitchell and Michael Smith.
