flatbed

It took nearly five hours to clean up the mess left after a load of plywood scattered across US 75 Wednesday morning. Police say the truck driver was going north through the construction zone and, when he left the constricted traffic area, the load shifted and fell off the vehicle. That caused the truck to go out of control ending up in a ditch. In order to keep traffic flowing, motorists had to drive through the center median around the truck until the roadway could be cleared. "Everyone needs to slow down when they are in those construction areas," said police chief Steve Norman. No citations were issued as a result of the accident. The flatbed truck had to be towed away.
