All the scoring Friday night took place in the first quarter in a game that saw a Henryetta Knights team playing both ways losing 56-20 to Victory Christian.
The VC Conquerors used a 45 yard run and interception return to jump off to a 14-0 lead in the opening minutes of the first frame. Another three touchdowns went on the VC side of the board before Alex Hudson snared a pass from Riley Pixler to dash 42 yards to paydirt. The two-point conversion by Pixler get the score at Henryetta 8, Victory Christian 35.
During the first quarter scoring spree, Victory added another seven with a 38 yard run then Nick Hudson added a TD when he took another pass from Pixler.
He would add the final touchdown for the Knights with another successful Pixler pass in the closing minutes of the first quarter for the HHS final of 20 points.
Those pass plays would be added to the 209 eventual yards that Hudson would get during the night.
Calling the plays, Pixler would throw 17 times with seven completions for 174 yards with three touchdowns. He would run the ball 13 times and get 33 yards during the night.
The Knights ran through 47 plays for 235 yards total yards and get 11 first downs. Victory Christian had 46 plays with 218 yards gained on the ground and 168 through the air for a total of 218 with 17 first downs.
Turnovers were almost equal. The Knights lost possession twice, one of those going for a touchdown while Victory lost the ball once.
Henryetta had six penalties for 30 yards and Victory Christian had three flags thrown for 16 yards.
This Friday night the regular season ends when the Knights host the Okmulgee Bulldogs.
