park fire

Hot coals ignighted debris from the caretaker's house at Nichols Park Friday afternoon. The blaze was confined to a dumpster that is being used to hold the wood and trash being cleaned out of the house. According to Henryetta firemen, workers thought ashes form a fire used to knock off the early morning chill had been extinguished. The damage was confined to the dumpster but, because it was located next to the building, a backhoe had to be used to move it a safe distance.
