fawn-rescued

The flood waters at Coal Creek nearly claimed a life Friday afternoon.
Quick action by Henryettans Robert Frost and Robert Whitlock saved a young fawn from the muddy waters and gave it a new lease on life.
Frost and Whitlock were at the creek along with city officials watching the status of the flood when they saw the young deer struggling in the waters.
Frost was able to get it out of the creek and dried it off.

The fawn was apparently separated from it's mother due to the floods. It was only a few weeks old and still displayed the characteristic white spots.
He took it to local veterinarian Stanley Jenkins where it received a clean bill of health.
