The trip to Wetumka wound up being a short excursion for the Henryetta middle school baseball team Tuesday.
It only took three innings for the young Knights to come away with a 13-1 run-rule win in a game that saw Henryetta post 11 hits while allowing only one unearned run.
Henryetta started off with a run in the first then added six in each of the second and third innings. Wetumka picked up the lone run in the final frame.
W. Perez did the pitching for Henryetta allowing three to walk while striking out five Wetumka batters.
Scoring for Henryetta were G. Williams, Perez, B. Morris, H. Bowdler and T. Hamric with two runs each while M. Randleman, S. Greenhaw and N. Johnson each scored one run.
Henryetta totled 11 hits in the game.
The middle school Knights host Twin Hills Monday starting at 4:30.
