Jeffrey Shane Shoemaker, a former Henryetta living in Canadian, died March 17, 2021 in Canadian at the age of 45.
Jeffrey was born July 7, 1975 in Henryetta. He graduated from Henryetta High School in 1993 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1998 to 2003 as a fixed wing aircraft crew chief. He worked for the glass company in Henryetta and has worked the last 15 years at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant as a carpentry supervisor. He married Nyssa Ward May 30, 2014 in Eureka Springs, Ark.
He is survived by his wife, Nyssa of the home; children, Drikeston Shoemaker, Andrea Hice, Peyton Shoemaker all of the home; father, Wiley Shoemaker and wife, Tammy of Henryetta; mother, Gail Keys and husband, James of Dustin; sister, Jennifer Lott and husband, Frank of Pilot Point, Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Mary Ward of Holdenville; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be on the family land on the north side of Highway 113 west of Canadian at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 officiated by Rev. Frank Lott. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Marine Corp Honors Team.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester.
