Demolition started on the second motel structure along US 75 Friday morning bringing the QuikTrip store just that much closer. Workers had been removing asbestos since the first of the year and, once that was completed, the demolition could begin. During the demolition, a fire suppression line was inadvertently broken causing a short delay while it was being capped off. Once the site has been cleared and the natural gas line work finished, construction will begin on the new QuikTrip facility. Construction is said to be finished in about a year.
