A walk-off single by Katelyn Dwiggins broke the tie giving Henryetta a 10-9 win over Beggs Friday night at the Henryetta festival.
The Beggs Lady Demons led through three and a half innings by a lone run then Jaylyn Joslin singled through a Beggs error scoring Skylar Morris to knot up the game. Henryetta was unable to put any more runs across the plate even through the bases were loaded setting the stage for an exciting fifth inning.
Thats when Beggs scored one on a walk then cleared the bases with a grand slam homer to left field.
In the bottom of the fifth, Avery Miller answered back with a home run to left scoring Morris, Dwiggins and Joslin.
Beggs picked up a three run homer in the top of the sixth for a 9-5 lead.
Henryetta tied up the game with a three run homer by Joslin then a solo by Avery Miller.
In the eighth, the first three Beggs batters all hit to Lady Knight shortstop Jaylyn Joslin.
In the bottom of the eighth, Makayla Greenhaw singled followed by a single from Jasmine Cantrell. Greenhaw used an Autumn Harjo fly out to get to third setting up the Dwiggins single to left for the winning run.
Henryetta posted 11 hits during the game with 9 RBIs. Beggs posted eight hits with 9 RBIs.
