Members of the Henryetta Economic Development Authority (HEDA) are looking for a person to act as secretary and treasurer.
The position came open following the loss of Roy Madden, the Henryetta Chamber executive director, who also filled both of those positions No date was given for the selection to be made.
Among the duties for the person hired are preparing and posting meeting notices, preparing agendas and minutes as well as meeting packets for each HEDA member. A full list of job duties is available by contacting a HEDA member or the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce.
At the Monday meeting, members approved the sales tax reimbursement for Shoney’s restaurant. That covered the October through December 2020 sales tax period amounting to $7537.46.
Under new business, members discussed the possibility of acquiring a piece of property at Fifth and Trudgeon. If purchased, it would be used as a parking lot for town events and possibly even made available to a business wishing to build downtown.
