Ann Leonard Nelson a longtime resident of Henryetta, died May 2, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born July 22, 1937 in Okmulgee to Howard and Bertha (Griswold) Andorfer.
Ann is a member of the First United Methodist Church where she previously served on their district board. She also served on the Henryetta Hospital Authority Board and a member of the Uthana Club. Benny and Ann owned and operated the Hungry Traveler and the South Forty Steak House for many years.
She was blessed to have these men in her life and is preceded in death by them, Burley Dean Robertson, Benny Leonard and Ronnie Nelson.
She is survived by her daughters: Connie Saunders and Steve of Henryetta, Terri Goodman and Jimmy of Henryetta, Leah Hamm and Jack of Broken Arrow and Lindsay Flanary and Jason of Owasso; grandchildren: Jordan Saunders and Kasey, Courtney Torix and Bruiser, Christin Swallow and Ryan, Bailey Bacher and David, Braidee Hicks and Tim, Bennett Flanary, Anna Flanary, Qynn Flanary, Brooke Kilhoffer and Josh;, Lindsay Goodman and Diann; great grandchildren: Cannon Saunders, Callan Saunders, Ryder Torix, Reese Torix, Easton Swallow, Jett Swallow, Blair Bacher, Walker Hicks, Shelby Kilhoffer, Peyton Kilhoffer, Jaxson Kilhoffer, Graham Goodman and Knox Goodman; sister, Trudy Dombek and Mickey; niece, Ann Herrera and Johnny; nephew, Jerry Michael Dombek; great niece, Sheridan Weldon; great nephew, Michael Dombek; former sister in law: Donna “Duckie” Dickey and Carl Don, whom she loved as her sister.
Family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Family request that if you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so at the service.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
