For most of the game Monday night it appeared as though the Lady Knights would finish their regular season in the winner’s column.
That was not to be when, after leading by a single run since the first inning, Henryetta saw Bristol chalk up four runs in the fifth inning. Henryetta was unable to add to the total for a 4-1 loss. Opening up the game, senior Jaylynn Joslin walked then scored when Shelby Kilhoffer singled on a line drive to left.
Henryetta was able to get on base several more times in the game but never able to put anyone across home plate.
Bristow’s Lady Pirates tied up the game in the fifth then a single on a 2-1 count scored two more runst on a single ground shot to center. The final run for Bristol came on a ground out to second bringing in a run.
The sixth inning saw Henryetta get Avery Miller on base with a walk then McKayla Greenhaw got a two-out single with a single.
Miller did the pitching for the Lady Knihgs through four innings. She allowed zero hits and zero runs and struck out four.
Kasedi Gobin took over for the final two innings giving up four runs on four hits.
