The Knights overcame a cold second period to nearly take a win from the Kiefer Trojans in Saturday’s make up game.
Henryetta outscored the Trojans in the final quarter but still fell by eight, 48-40.
The Knights led 10-7 at the end of the first period but could only get three more points not he board. Those came from a long three-point goal by Hunter Gobin. It would be one of two he posted during the game.
Adding to the confrontation for the Knights was the third period loss of 6-6 junior Jordan Short. He was sidelined in the third quarter when he collided with Kiefer’s forward Kyler Holt. He will be on the bench for Tuesday’s game at Holdenville.
The knights used 19 points by Alex Hudson, nine by brother Nick Hudson as well as six from Gobin, five from Ethan Palmer and four from Jordan Osterdock to post their 40 points.
