A high speed chase Wednesday night ended in a crash that seriously injured one man.
The chase started in Henryetta after a Dodge pickup was said to have been stolen. Police chased the suspect down SH 266 into Dewar at speeds reaching 100 miles per hour.
The truck went off the roadway on the east side of Dewar crashing through a steel fence and traveled over 100 yards before hitting another fence and flipping end over end.
The driver of the stolen vehicle had to be pulled out of the truck and was sent to St. John's Hospital in Tulsa by Life Flight.
He was so seriously injured that he was unable to speak to officers. No identification was on the man described as a while male between 35 and 45 years of age. He had multiple tattoos including one with the name, "Jessica" on his right forearm and lightning bolts on his lower neck.
The pickup was completely destroyed.
